Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m/4265ft)

You can arrive in Kathmandu at any time. Upon your arrival, you will be met by a Himalaya Land Treks at the airport and transferred to your Hotel. There are no planned activities for today. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Today, you will visit the World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu city. It has one of the densest concentrations of World Heritage Sites in the world. You will visit the temple of Pashupatinath, the Buddhist shrine of Boudhanath, the Swayambhunath Stupa, and the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Each is built in a unique architectural style and holds an important significance in terms' of Nepal's history and religious hallmark. After the site visit, you will be taken back to your hotel. Overnight stay at the Hotel, breakfast included.

You will visit the Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar squares today, as well as explore the two cities. The Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar squares, like the one in Kathmandu city, are sprawling courtyards of old palaces, monuments, statues, and temples all built during the golden age of Nepal's history. Both cities also have many things to see and do as well, like exploring the city streets which are lined with handicraft stalls and vendors selling different traditional items. After exploring the cities, you will then be returned to your Hotel. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

The drive from Kathmandu to Lumbini takes about 6 hours. The drive is a great way to enjoy the fleeting glimpses of Nepal's countryside life, and during the journey, you can see vast expanses of farms, including terrace farms as well as rivers and streams. Hillocks of woodlands and thick groves of bamboo also make the journey pleasant. After arriving in Lumbini, you will be transferred to the Hotel. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Today is Lumbini sightseeing, which includes visiting the revered site of Buddhist pilgrimage- the Mayadevi Temple. Near the temple also lies the palace excavation site, as well as the Ashoka Pillar. Moreover, Lumbini also has many monasteries, all built-in amazing architecture. You can visit each of the monasteries riding a traditional rickshaw. After Lumbini sightseeing, you will then return to your Hotel. Overnight stay at the Hotel in Lumbini.

From Lumbini, you will have another pleasant drive to Pokhara city, which takes about 5 to 6 hours. Pokhara is known as the tourist hub of Nepal and has many sites to enjoy, like the World Peace Pagoda, the Mahendra Cave, and the Davis Fall. Pokhara also presents an amazing sight of the Annapurna Mountains. In the evening time, you can also enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the gorgeous Phewa Lake. Overnight stay at the Hotel in Pokhara.

Today, the sightseeing tour of Pokhara includes visiting the Sarangkot hill. You will visit the vantage point of Sarangkot early in the morning for a beautiful sunrise view amidst the mountain peaks. The vantage point is also the spot for paragliding and zip lining. Then, you will visit the various natural sites of the city, like the Bindhyabasini Temple and the Mountain Museum among others. After the sightseeing tour, you will be taken back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

From Pokhara, you will be driving back to Kathmandu, bidding the Annapurna Mountains goodbye. The drive back takes about 6 to 7 hours. Again, the drive is filled with natural sites of streams, rivers and farms and pastures. In the evening, you will have a celebratory farewell dinner hosted by the Himalaya Land Treks for the completion of a successful sightseeing tour of Nepal's famous landmarks. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Approximately three hours before the scheduled flight, you will be dropped at the airport for your departure.
